To exercise or not to exercise.....

Kevin asked me tonight if I liked my workout. I had to tell him the truth. NO! I do not like to exercise. I have never liked exercising. What can possibly be fun about it. I have sweat running down between my boobs, down my back, and my face feels like it is going to explode. How can that possibly be fun. Kevin thinks that if I do it more often that I would learn to like it. Is that anything like trying to eat something nasty that you don't like, such as beets (YUCK), and you will acquire a taste for it? I don't buy off on that concept not one bit. Steph comes over and runs on the treadmill. She comes out of the exercise room sweating profusely. I can't imagine why she would like it. She says it makes her feel good and she is looking amazing. Kevin comes out of the workout room sweating profusely saying that was a good workout my arm didn't go to sleep tonight! I think they both need to check-in at the local nut ward!

I hit the treadmill again tonight (more out of guilt) for my twenty minutes of walk/run (more walk than run). Counting down every minute until I can get off and go take a shower and get the sweat off and my perfume on and smell like a woman again.

Getting the list checked off....

Another great day shopping. Peep, Mom and I went wedding accessory shopping. Found the perfect undergarment for the dress and found a possibility for the shoes!

To top it off, we had a great lunch at the Claim Jumper! You are always guaranteed to go away way to full. Mom got her favorite dessert and Peep and I shared a new one, I declair, a wonderful concoction of chocolate, custard, pastry and real whipping cream! It was amazing and I brought most of it home for dessert tonight.

Going to the dogs....

Three days of planning, building and painting, we have a new dog house. Kev and I tackled this project last weekend.
First to agree on a plan or at least try to figure out what we are both thinking. I am a drawer and planner and list type of a girl. Kev is more of the keep it in your head and figure it out type of a guy. So to get it out of Kev's head and on paper was an interesting process.
We headed to home depot with one list and ended up changing midstream on our choice of materials. We picked up all wood and headed home.
This first day of building went great. We made good progress, but started getting tired by the earlier evening. We did pretty well with maybe only one wrong cut of wood. Kev did all the wood cut and I did all the nailing with the nail gun. We make a good team. We made out with only one "F" bomb for the day! LOL !
Day two didn't start out to well. Kev woke up sick but still headed to the garage. We worked for about an hour and he looked gray, sweating and all of the sudden he had disappeared. He had gone behide the garage and had gotten sick. I kept telling him to head up to the house and we could finish tomorrow, but nope not Kev got to get it done. We finished it up and he headed to the house while I started the task of clean up. Lucky for me the boys showed up and helped me lift some heavy stuff and put it away and Erik got me the paint down out of the attic. Finished it up with a paint job to match the house.
Kevin, Aaron, Erik, and family friend, Sean hauled the new house to the back deck tonight. We made it in two pieces so the top can come off for cleaning. It is is good thing it was in two pieces or they wouldn't have been able to carry it to the deck!
The dog house looks great and hopefully Edison and Baxter love it. I threw a bone in the house for them and with some reluctance they went in and got the bone and ran out. Knowing our dogs they will continue to sleep in their old dog house that is made for one dog until we haul it off.

Making memories and remembering memories...

thinking of those that served our country and still do....
thinking of family members that are gone but are far from forgotten.....

Headed to Hammond to stay at the KOA across from Fort Stevens. We started the weekend off with rain, of course. It rained so hard while we were setting up our campsite. I had bought two ez-up canopies and some tarps so that helped a bunch. Saturday was a good day. I would love to say beautiful day but no sun~but no rain either! Steph and I went to the outlet malls and did some shopping. Emory, Nicole, Erik, Kalisha and the kids went too but we didn't see them there, they bagged out early! They really need to work on their shopping stamina (or is it the little ones that need to work on it!). We went for a drive on the beach, which was a real treat, I didn't know that there was an Oregon beach that you could drive on!
Kev fixed us some really yummy ribs on the bbq for dinner.
Sunday we woke to rain and news that our dog, Baxter, was out of the fence at home and would not stay in, (he throws fits when we are not home) so we packed it up and headed home. We hung up the tarps, canopies and rugs. What a wet mess.
Monday morning we washed up the motor home and put away everything that we put out to dry.
Wished we could have seen the military displays at Fort Stevens but there is always next year!
