Oh how I love family Sundays. The kids and grandkids came by today to spend part of the day. The volume got loud, the food was plenty, and so were the laughs and love.
I am so proud of our gang and the great job as parents that they are doing with their kids. Makes a momma proud. It so nice that we can get together and have a good time.
Can't wait for our adventures in Mexico. We are going to have so much fun!
Lucky mom and grandma!

Grandma Day....
Another Grandma Day come and gone. On Wednesdays, I watch my three grandsons, Marcus, Austin and Gage. Marcus and I started the day going to the dentist, running errands, lunch with Grandpa Hot and Steph and to the daycare to pick up the Twins.
Movie time, playtime, then breakfast for dinner.
Tonight I added tickers to my site for all my grand kids. I am sure I will be hearing from their moms if I have them wrong (which it would not surprise me!).
Long day...time for bed for this Grandma!
P.S. Yea got my first deliver from Safeway.com.....AWESOME thats all I can say!

Oh happy days.....:0)
Oh yes! The day is finally here. Safeway delivers to my house!! Within minutes of getting the awesome news via email, I was placing my order. And yes it will be delivered tomorrow afternoon.
I can not tell you how happy I am. I despise grocery shopping. So much so that I sent Steph to the store to do all the grocery shopping when she lived at home. Then it was Kalisha's turn to do the shopping! I ran out of kids!
This is some of the best news that I have received in months. Now I can check that off my list of to do's for tomorrow! This gives Marcus Gary and I extra time before we pick up the twins! Maybe we will go for ice cream to celebrate!

Something to think about.....
I ran across this quote tonight and thought it was something to really think about.
" The best and most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or even touched. They must be felt with the heart." Helen Keller

Blog make over day....
Just messing around today and figuring this blog thing out. Discovered several sites with new backgrounds and decided to try this one out.
It was a grandma day today. Fiona Rose and I went to the grocery store and stocked up. She is such a little sweetheart. Good girl for Grandma.
Beautiful day today but still to cold.

Olympic amazement
As I sit here tonight watching the Olympic Winter Games, I am continually amazed. These athletes are incredible. I just can't imagine the time and dedication they have put into their sport.
Some of the highlights for me so far ~
Shawn White ~ of course top of the list ~ he is just plain crazy!
Lindsey Vonn ~ she didn't let her injury stop her!
Evan Lysacek ~ way to beat the Russian who thought he was going to come in and take it all!
Or the gal (I can't remember her name ~ see my previous memory post!) that is FIVE MONTHS pregnant and on her countries Kurling team going for it at the Olympics! You Go Girl!
Love the Olympics!!!

Out of the mouths of babes....
Every Thursday I have the pleasure of helping out in my Grandson Marcus's Kindergarten class.
Every week it always amazes me the conversations they have and the comments that they share.
The other day one little girl asked me if I was Marcus's Mom or Marcus's Grandma...then told me I was not old enough to be a Grandma. Bless her little heart.
Today one little girl asked me if she could call me Grandma Tracie, to this I answered "sure you can sweetie!"
Some have great confidence and others waver...
" I can cut this out because I read a book on how to cut and I am good at it"
"I can't cut can you help me?" and the accomplished cutter helped his seatmate ~ team work!
One little boy the other day was singing "Pants on the Ground!" Cracked me up! How cute!
(for those that do not follow American Idol it was a song an older gentlemen had made up and was singing about the youth of today that like to wear their pant on the ground.)
I can't wait until next Thursday....one full hour of smiles and laughs! ;)

Memory ...... Or Should I Say The Lack Of
WOW ! That is about all I can say. My memory has never been good but it is getting down right ridiculous.
Last night I asked Kevin, "how did you get into the garage to take the jeep for a ride when the garage door openers were both in the garage?"
To this question I got quite the look. He says, "Trace, remember you had a key pad installed on the door and put the code in it so we can get in without the opener?"
To this answer I just had tears. How in the world could I have forgotten that. I am the one that just had both garage door openers installed for Kevin for a surprise birthday gift. I am the one who had the key pad put in so we could get in without the openers because we have no man door. Once again WOW!
On a bright note, Kevin tried to make me feel better and tell me it was o.k. he has been forgetting things too.
I have had memory problems all my life. In school I had to write the combination of my locker on my locker or I was never able to open it. Or I had to go to the office and look up what class I had next (one that I have been attending for months~ it was so bad that the school secretary just let me go back to the old fashion card file and look it up without questioning me).
My kids tell me things and I forget and re ask. And of course when I re ask I always get an "I already told you that mom" or just a smile and an answer if I am lucky.
I guess my greatest concern is the dreaded Alzheimers. My Grandmother passed away from Alzheimers. What a terrible disease. I can't think of a more awful way to die not knowing your family and all alone. She was a very loving and special Grandma. Always there for me and all her Grand kids.
My kids love to laugh at me. To this I just laugh back and tell them, "laugh all you want your taking care of me when I totally lose it!"

Beginnings.......
Well here I go. I have been contemplating starting a blog for quite awhile. I have so enjoyed reading my Aunt Terry's blog that she has inspired me to just start. ( I just hope that she is not offended by my grammar and punctuation errors)
Kevin and I just got wonderful news last night that we are going to be grandparents again. This will make grand baby #12. I have been sitting here today reflecting back on my life and I never could have imagined that I would be grandma to twelve. What a blessing. My dad would have been so excited. (I never will forget the look on his face when Kevin and I told him we were getting married!)
After a rough year last year, I have pledged to myself that this year is going to be an awesome year. And we are off to a great start.
